Members of the Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC) team including Head of TEC, Graham Page, Pete Breugem and Bruce Creek were amongst the inaugural delegates at Agrifutures Australia’s evokeAG.

The two-day event saw over 1,100 delegates, including 7 international delegations, descend on Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building (REB). Included in those delegates were primary producers, startups, investors, industry representatives and more. The focus of the event was to bring these diverse groups into the one place to work together on the continued growth and innovation currently being experienced within Australian agriculture. As part of the event, Graham Page delivered a 45-minute masterclass on ‘Agech and the Future’ to a booked-out room. Other popular sessions included ‘Get ready for even faster, smarter farms’, ‘Farmers of the future – robots, AI and 24/7 Farming’ and ‘Grow locally, think globally – how Australian businesses built an international brand and success.’.

Throughout the two days, the TEC team heard various speakers across the numerous breakout and plenary sessions. The opportunity also presented itself to listen to the ‘Investment Ready’, ‘Seed Funding’ and ‘Producer Problem’ pitch tent streams, as well as the 10 Future Young Leaders invited to present during the event. All the sessions attended by the TEC team provided highly valuable information to take back to clients, as well as building networks for potential research and development opportunities.

Mark Allison, Elders’ Managing Director & CEO, was quoted at evokeAG saying ‘Australian agriculture is, and always has been innately innovative’. The ability to innovate, leverage research findings and agronomic tools is key to the approach taken by TEC consultants, as such opportunities presented by attending such an event are invaluable and the TEC team looks forward to working collaboratively within the Agriculture sector to continue the innovative growth.
