Pete is a Viticulturalist and Winemaker at Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC). He studied viticulture and winemaking at a tertiary level and completed several overseas vintages before becoming a partner in a wine brand and vineyard owner in McLaren Vale.
Pete has a broad range of experience in the wine sector and specialises in vineyard design, establishment and operation from greenfield to harvest. He is passionate about helping client’s projects become successful through applying his practical expertise in managing numerous projects, and deep-rooted passion for the industry and its people.
Bruce Creek is an Agricultural Business Management Consultant with Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC) and the Chairman of the South Australian Beef Industry Blueprint.
Bruce has over 20 years of experience in managing large scale cattle and sheep production properties in Australia and internationally, and was responsible for establishing one of the largest registered Angus herds in the world in Kazakhstan.
Through his roles with TEC and the SA Beef Industry Blueprint, Bruce has worked closely with leading universities in areas of measurement device development, assisting the livestock industry in key areas. He is passionate about ensuring these developments and outcomes come to market for the benefit of the livestock industry.
Daniel Gall is a Precision Agricultural Agronomist with Thomas Elders Consulting (TEC) based in Goondiwindi, and brings more than 15 years of experience with cotton and broadacre cropping to the TEC team.
Daniel provides clients with valuable recommendations and prescriptions for farm management to improve soil quality, crop yield and quality, thanks to his knowledge of smart technologies.
Daniel has also been involved with innovative projects requiring him to setup, monitor and analyse results through Precision Agriculture methodologies and equipment.
Pip is a Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC) Livestock Production Consultant.She provides clients with solutions that address each moving part of an enterprise, drawing upon the TEC’s team’s highly specialised skill set across all major agricultural sectors. She primarily specialises in animal health advice across animal husbandry, disease and parasite management and livestock management.
Pip joined the TEC after graduating from Murdoch University, where she studied Animal Science and Animal Health. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Sydney and has experience in running a small business.
As the head of Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC), Graham brings over 24 years of experience in the agriculture and agronomist industry to the team.
He has held roles including capacity building, AgTech, policy development, project management, recruitment, product development and training working within small and large businesses. Graham’s passion for the land and agriculture was shaped by his experiences growing up on his family’s property near Swan Hill in Victoria, and he believes agricultural excellence is driven by practical change and adaptation of research through technical excellence and public-private collaboration.
Roop is the Horticulture Specialist for Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC). He is passionate about utilising technological agricultural solutions to produce the best outcome for growers.
His services include agronomy consulting, farm performance analysis and benchmarking, conducting feasibility studies for horticulture and advising on climate risk assessment and adaptation plans for farms.
Roop is currently undertaking further study in Agribusiness and Law in addition to his degree in Agricultural Sciences. Before joining TEC, Roop successfully optimised high value horticultural crops along the east coast, through an array of agronomy consulting services roles.
Neal is an agricultural consultant at Thomas Elder Consulting (TEC) with experience across several locations and farming systems across Central and Southern Queensland.
Neal was born and raised in Chinchilla and grew up on a grain and sheep farm. Neal attended tertiary studies at the University of Queensland and University of New England and is a self-confessed sporting tragic through his involvement in the Chinchilla Rugby Union club and is a player in the local cricket competition.
Outside of TEC, Neal runs a small broadacre farming operation which produces barley, cotton, wheat, mungbeans and sorghum. Neal’s specialties are in cotton, coarse grains and pulse production.
Michael is a Ruminant Production Consultant for Thomas Elders Consulting (TEC).
He completed a Bachelor of Animal Science at the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus, after which he undertook an Honours and Doctorate studies, researching variation in feed intake, metabolic rate and digestive efficiency in sheep.
Michael has developed a passion for the practical use of new technology and management practices in sustainable agricultural systems and is interested in optimising the production of extensive sheep and beef grazing systems. Michael’s primary goal is to work with producers to reach their specific production objectives whilst optimising productivity and profitability.
